The Princess of African Foundation was established in 2006 to complement the work of Yvonne Chaka Chaka as UNICEF and Rollback Malaria Goodwill ambassadors in Africa. It is a non-profit organization registered under Section 21 of the Companies Act with main objectives being to carry out community and social charity works.

Considered a role model throughout the African continent, she has demonstrated compassion for others throughout her career. Yvonne has taught literacy, promoted the rights of women, and never stopped to work to protect children everywhere.

By Donating to the Princess of Africa Foundation you will be supporting some of the projects that the foundation undertakes.

The Princess of Africa Foundation is a partner of ACTION, a global partnership of advocacy organisations working to influence policy and mobilise resources to fight diseases of poverty and achieve equitable access to health. ACTION partners work across five continents in both donor and high burden countries.

The Princess of Africa foundation is a founder of the BVSM, Backing Vocalists and Session musicians awards which was launched in 2015. The ceremony aims to celebrate and award session musicians and becking vocalists who never get the recognition for being part of music productions.
